I am very glad when I saw I have 500 push notification subscriber for my blog. But unfortunately, when I send post notification via it, it just shows “notification sent to 288 subscribers successfully”. Any one know, Why ?
That’s because users have either unsubscribed or uninstalled it from their browser. I have about 4500+ total users but only 2600+ people receive my notifications…
Which push notification do you guys use?
I also implemented onesignal saturday night and within 10 hours got 56 subscribers.
For me major traffic comes on working days. Saturday and Sunday is off.
Will tell you result by next sunday.
But hows the traffic from push notifications? Is it good? Do clicks happen?
It’s a way to keep tied your visitors. And yes! Clicks open. Suppose if you have subscribed to push notification service you would receive notification whenever any post get published.
Implemented it 40 hours back. Got 800 subscribers. Tonight most probably I will send the notification. Lets see how many open it by tomorrow!
Do revert. I am looking forward to the same
Sent to 1071. Only 30 clicked.
Hmmm. Thats why i have decided not to go for it. 1) That push notification button on top really irritates me. Its there on every other site and i really dont like it staring at my face. I am sure even readers wont like it. 2) If the conversion rates are so low then better to ignore rather then maintain and spend time on that traffic source.
In 3 days I got 3000 subscribers. Sent a message today, Open rate is at 15%
Timing mattters a lot along with subject of notification.
I have been using onesignal for 5 months now average click is around 15%, that is good enough in my view
Yes, completely depending on Google is not good. It is better to have other alternatives.
Within 3 days got 3000 subscribers. The new experiment is still running so will update the final opening.
Thats a good subscriber base and opening rate as well. All the best
10 days and 10,000 subscribers. So if Google puts penalty, atleast 500 visits a day confirmed.
So basically you positively recommend push notifications
Yes. But do not include fancy buttons etc. Just a normal notification bar that appear once from inbuilt browser.
The only reason being what if Google no more love us!!!
It is advisable to have alternate source of traffic.
Very true. And looking at the way Google is going, we many times hear stories of bloggers who lost traffic overnight.
