But as per me AMP will soon or later die like many other past Google projects. Speeding up mobile page loads makes tons of sense; AMP as a concept makes little business sense.
AMP has no life except for news publisher. Better, Google should put page size limit like not more than 300 KB for the mobile site. This may be helpful at the great extend.

Amp should be fine. AMP page needs to be served only when internet speed is low.everyone has smartphone with good net now.
AMP jusy defeats purpose of buying premium theme.
Nice point, thats my thought as well as per studies internet speed is no where to the full potential its today so why worry about the bandwidth so much… maybe tweak the underlying tech for e.g. render faster image formats etc… that makes more sense…
Though as internet speed is improving, the main concept of AMP would die eventually. But it will take years!
