I had changed my Siteground's nameservers to Cloudflare's nameservers and since then I'm not getting any traffic. I can still access my WP dashboard and even website. I ran GT Metrix and Google Page Insights tests and found that there's some error 500.
But Cloudflare had mentioned that the site won't experience downtime during DNS transferring. I don't understand what's happening.
Error 500 can happens due to many reasons, such as bad themes, plugin, or bad rule at .htaccess
You may revert to default theme and check again.
Or is it because I changed the nameservers?
No. This is not something possible due to nameserver.
Can you show test report?
I spoke to a SiteGround representative. He said it's because I changed nameservers and it will take at least 24 hours to get back on track.
Hosting team don't know what they speak. They are really noob. They know only about their own host stuff. So hardly I can't comment anything on that.
Oh God! But it actually happened right after I changed the nameservers. It was working fine until then. How much time does it take for Cloudflare DNS to start working? Should I revert to SG nameservers?
You should wait at least 30-45 minutes. Exactly till complete propagation. You can check here by entering your domain name https://www.whatsmydns.net/
It should show like this.
I did. I'm getting a cross here
Seattle WA, United States
you are doing some thing wrong with cloudflare name server . recheck again because cloudflare only take time 5 to 10 minutes to update nameserver.
I did a test on this site as well, https://mxtoolbox.com
It's showing this error
HTTP Connect The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.
Have patience! It will take little time.
It's 3 hours already. I don't want the site to be down for 24 hours.
It doesn't take 24 hours. Can you share domain name?
Wow! Now jetpack has blocked me
Your IP (22.214.171.124) has been flagged for potential security violations.

The 500 internal server error is a common and annoying HTTP error, which is internal server error.
